Prices and odds tell different stories

By the odds, a 1 in 72 secret is as rare as about 12 regular figures from a 6-figure series. But the market doesn't price it that way.

On StockX, Have a Seat's secret DuoDuo averages about $146, and a regular figure about $38 to $45. So the price says one secret is worth 3 or 4 regulars, not 12. Trade on prices, and use the rarity number only when no one has sold the figure yet.

Swapping repeats is the cheapest way to finish a set

Every fair swap is a box you don't have to buy, which is $26.99 saved on a Labubu. Trade days are popping up for exactly this, like the Sonny Angel and Smiski meet-ups at Friends NYC in Brooklyn.

The store sums up why they work: "One girlie's duplicate might another's dream pull." Bring your repeats and a list of what you're missing.

Questions collectors ask

Where do I find a fair value?

Look at sold listings, not asking prices, on eBay or StockX. Use the last few sales of the same figure.

Should I add shipping to my side?

Yes, if you're mailing your half. It's money you spend to make the trade, so the calculator adds it to what you give.
