How many blind boxes until you pull the secret?
Pop Mart lists the odds for each series. In most six-figure Labubu series the secret is 1 in 72, and in most 12-figure series it's 1 in 144. Our free calculators turn those odds into boxes, dollars and your real chance.
| Secret odds | Even chance | 90% chance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 in 72 | 50 boxes | 165 boxes |
| 1 in 144 | 100 boxes | 331 boxes |

Why 72 boxes won't promise you the secret
"1 in 72" sounds like a deal: buy 72 boxes, get one secret. But each box is a fresh roll, and the 71 you already opened don't make the next one luckier.
So after 72 boxes, your chance of at least one secret is about 63%. That's why one fan pulls it in box two, while another opens a hundred and still waits.
Most fans do the same math in their heads. Labubu collector Ethan Melillo told Refinery29, "I'm not about to buy hundreds of boxes just for a shot at one."
Duplicates eat most of the money
Most people want the whole series, not just the secret. And random boxes keep handing them figures they already own.
In a 12-figure series, the average buyer needs about 37 random boxes to get all 12. Pop Mart's whole set gives you all 12 in 12 boxes, with no repeats.
For its 2026 Genshin Impact series, that set cost $239.88, and one box cost $19.99. So 37 random boxes would cost about $740, more than three whole sets.
The full set cost calculator does this math for any series and any price.
